What type of genre of photography do you photograph?
Family, Maternity, Newborn and Couples
How many years have you been a photographer?
Almost 8 years
What do you love most about photography?
Capturing the in-between moments when my clients are just having fun and interacting with each other. Those are the little moments that we want to remember.
When it comes to products, what made you decide to begin offering products to your clients?
I'm a total print and wall lover myself. My home is filled with images from my travels and of my family, and my bookshelves store all of the other images in big albums. I feel so much happiness walking by these prints on a daily basis and I want to give my clients that same experience.
And when it comes to albums, it's convenience. I love being able to just grab an album and sit down by myself and remember those great moments. And it's more convenient to take out an album and show people these memories instead of gathering in front of a computer.
Why do you believe print is important?
There's something special about seeing the pictures in prints that makes people excited and want to talk about it instead of just seeing it on a screen. It's a conversation starter for people who come in to your home. It shows a sense of belonging and pride.
What products are your number one sellers?
Albums is most definitely my number one favorite among my clients. They see how much I love them and want that same feeling.
What other advice would you give to photographers who aren't selling products but may want too?
Start small. Choose a size that's popular, my 10x10 is my biggest seller. And then choose some cover options. Don't do everything at once, it's overwhelming both for yourself and for your clients. And price yourself profitable so that you don't feel that it's a bother but something exciting.
What do you love most about working with UAF?
The quality of the albums are top notch and customer service is really great.
