This months featured photographer is near and dear to our heart. Ramilyn has been a huge part of our UAF Photo Lab family from the start, it is our honor to be able to feature her work. What type of genre of photography do you photograph?
I am a boudoir photographer
How many years have you been a photographer?
I have been photographing for 17+ years and 9 of those has been boudoir.
What do you love most about photography?
Photography has always been an outlet for me. My love for photography grew as a child. What I love most about photography is being able to take a picture of a moment and continue to hold that moment in our hands rather than in our heads. Without photography we wouldn't be able to see what the world was like.
When it comes to products, what made you decide to begin offering products to your clients?
We are a luxury boudoir studio. So when it comes to products I have always been picky on what products we offer our clients. Before I offer products there was a certain level of customer service and satisfaction that was missing from my business. Products has given our clients a full service experience. They love being able to see the products they designed with their images inside.
Our albums are the most popular purchased items because of the options we provide our clients. I wanted my clients to hold their images in their hands and feel the quality of their products. There is nothing amazing about holding a USB in your hand, but you put an album in a client's hand. Now that is where the magic takes place.
What products are your number one sellers?
It is between our 10x10 album and the 9x12! The 9x12 sample album from UAF is by far the best product that gets the most handling in our studio.
What other advice would you give to photographers who aren't selling products but may want too?
It can be scary to make changes in your business, but in order to provide a service your clients will truly be satisfied with products are no brainer. My advice is to choose products that t your brand. Be unique and don't go along with the trends. Albums are timeless and no matter if you offer simple or luxury they are worth offering.
What do you love most about working with UAF?
When it comes to customer service UAF is hands down has been the best in all the product companies I have used. They also are currently crushing the market with their fabric options.
